For the Ladies as well...

Now..we haven't forgot about the ladies at all! OK? So..Nike released the Laces Kaleidoscopic Pack which has the Court force Hi and Lo. The pics speak for themselves.
ALSO! The inner sole has a laces graphic printed on it. So peep those out ladies.

Vandal....

Nike Vandal Vintage '08
This happens to be the remake of the oldschool Nike Vandal. The shoe features nylon tounges, and the weather beaten canvas look, which really fits with the whole vintage theme (hence the name). These should drop sometime this summer, so be on the lookout. A hot pickup

FASHION FOR THIS WEEK:
This week we decided to interview Jak Ohara a.k.a. NERD..is the owner/ceo whatever the hell you want to call him of his clothing brand Million Dollar Nerd. With all that he has been doing, all the moves, and products he's come up with showed us (T.A.'s Up and Coming Team) that he truly is the next Up and Coming fashion designer..
At 17 yrs old this dude is doing his thing, and deserves Fashion Designer of the Week. Be easy, peace.

audiOnaut.

audiOnaut.

audiOnaut.

NERD.

audiOnaut.
When did you start getting into fashion?

NERD.
properly about 2 years ago..

audiOnaut.
Can you remember your first pair of favorite shoes..or favorite clothing article?

NERD.
My first pair of kicks where a sweet pair with red light in the bottom that flashed when you walked...

audiOnaut.
HAHAH i think we all thought we were the coolest kid on the block with those joints!..So about Million Dollar Nerd...what sparked your interest to do this?

NERD.
Original i wanted to start an online shop but my aspiration grew and i just thought how dope it would be to have people wanting to buy and wear my clothes.. So i started to design after i came up with a name and i found a logo that i thought really worked so i kept picking bits out and re working it and here i am...

audiOnaut.
So whats the whole idea (concept) behind the name Million Dollar Nerd?

NERD.
Million Dollar Nerd is what everyone wants to be in my eye's. Everyone has little ideas and concepts that they think will one day bring them some $$$. They may not ever get that idea out but its always with them. Also Nerd's are becoming quickly more popular and the concept of being a Nerd is becomming to appear 'CooL'. Im just picking up on this and putting it to the test

audiOnaut.
From what i've seen your ideas and concepts for the clothing have been dope..incorporating what everyone loves (MONEY) into the nerd frames. I'm sure people can vibe and digg on what your doing with this. So what are your short term goals for the clothing line?

NERD.
Short term im just working closely with my Web designer to get something made that i think reflects our theme and our beliefs and at the moment just running through the printing process...

audiOnaut.
Long term?

NERD.
World Domination...

audiOnaut.
HAHAHA!

NERD.
haha!

audiOnaut.
How big do you plan on getting with MDN?

NERD.
I can't see myself going all the way.. All i want is for people to be happy to wear my clothes... To have someone walk around in something that ive made and that ive designed would just make me speechless..and just wanna make a lil bit of profit of course

audiOnaut.
Oh no doubt. So your not really seeing any clothing dealers distributing your products?

NERD.
not to begin with i wanna start online but who knows man.. il just see were this will take me..

audiOnaut.
What kind of clothing are you going to sell..tshirts, etc?

NERD.
to begin till i can start to earn some more cash.. T-shirts, Joggers, Hoodies and crewneckS..but in the future i wanna move to jeans and maybe even shoes...

audiOnaut.
Oooh im curious to see what the kicks would look like! haha..any new/big projects coming up?

NERD.
just my new t-shirt Prints i can nearly afford my first lot so be sure to check the blog: Mdnblog.blogspot.co m.. thought id get that in...

Play my theme Music....

I present Wiz Khalifa...

MY THEME MUSIC

D’Evil Eye Review

Absolute Value, the newest release from Boston rapper Akrobatik, is a very diverse musical and lyrical journey with a positive message. Akrobatik starts off with a homage to the Cypress Hill song “A to the K” and shares the same name as well as B-Real, the leadman from Cypress Hill. The first song has a street anthem feel to it and lyrical is a very powerful way to start of the album. This quality of music is continued throughout the rest of the album, especially in the production and guest appearances. With production from the likes of 9th Wonder and J. Dilla, Akrobatik is able to keep up with these esteemed producers. The track produced by Dilla, “Put Ya Stamp On It”, also features Talib Kweli who spits a nice verse but most of the wordplay is left to Ak. The diversity of the album continues on “Kindred” which is a look at the history of black culture (including first person accounts of slaver, Hurricane Katrina, and ). Although the rhymes on this song are a bit forced at times, the meaning and feeling put into the track clearly outweighs these minor blemishes (Chuck D preaching didn’t hurt either). Overall, the album has many diverse tracks but together, they all sound similar when listened to as a whole.

A few songs from the album:
Be Prepared
Front Steps II
Kindred With CHUCK D
Put Ya Stamp on it featuring Talib Kweli
D’Rating: 7.5/10

D’Evil Eye Review

The Re-Up Gang – We Got it 4 Cheap: Vol. 3

The third installment in the We Got it 4 Cheap Mixtape series is a solid effort from the Re-Up Gang. Mostly reusing the beats of others, the Virginia based group is able to capture the listener at the beginning and the tape flows nicely. The intro, with Star Wars-like music playing in the background and flows into the first two Neptune produced tracks and then using “Roc Boys” as a base on the third track, the main subject of the mixtape (per usual of the Clipse). “Of what a feeling selling blocks of white…” is the first cocaine reference in the song and they continue over the rest of the song and mixtape. Ok, Clipse, we get it, you guys sold drugs, know PLEASE could you use your talents to discuss something else on your tracks. That being my only gripe over the entire mixtape, the middle and ending are definitely a positive. The eerie beat of “Rainy Dayz” really sets the tone in the bulk of the tape and is a highlight, along with the use of the “Good Morning” beat from Kanye West’s Graduation. The mixtape ends with a bang on the final track on the mixtape, “Real Niggas”. Over old school Dr. Dre beats, the Re-Up gang brings their best stuff at the time when it counted.

D’Rating: 8.5/10

We got it 4 cheap

Fashion to Look Out For:

2008 Spring Creative Recreation Collection

The name Creative Recreation speaks for itself. Ever since the brand has been around they've been known for thinking outside the box and coming up with innovative ideas for the concept of sneakers. In this spring colllection they still are using the classic Cesario model along with the double strapped Dicoco Hi's. The new colorways are subtle but are sure to break necks wherever you go. Simply Fresh. Any one of these are a def. cop, for anyone who can appreciate good sneakers. Check your local dealer. Peace.
